Almost bang on time the renewal works on Pana have concluded. After putting up with 18 months of muck, misery and melee the torture is finally over. No longer the sound of drills breaking up the old topsy turvey paving, no more deep holes and stinking sewers and no more dumper trucks and smoky tractors roaring up the street carrying cargoes of putrid sludge and gank.

Like the withdrawal of an army from occupied territory the contractors have pulled back their weapons of mass destruction leaving a truly rejuvenated and pure posh Pana behind them. Even the shams in tracksuits with fists full of goldy sovereigns are less inclined to eject a greener they'
