PROC Event Guide Upgraded

PROC Event Guide 3.0

It's here! We have revamped the functionality of our event guide to include a search engine, cinema listings, video clips, individual venue listings and much more.

See: www.peoplesrepublicofcork.com/eventguide

Right now as your scribe raises a cup of Barry's special PROC blend to his Rebel red lips there are 670 upcoming events in the database. Yes, that's six hundred and seventy things going on between now and May 1st.

Anyone who says there's nothing happening in Cork needs to be horse whipped for treason or taken by the hand, filled with Beamish and dragged into Cork's fantastic venues that are buzzing with stuff to do: live music, clubbing, pub quizzes, theatre, poetry readings, comedy, art exhibitions, magic shows, lectures, sporting events. And of course gatting.

If these 670 events were placed side by side each of their durations would be enough time to walk from Castletownbere to Tokyo assuming a 5 km/hr pace and a change of clothes in Tehran.

Find an equivalent sized city anywhere in Europe with more going on than Cork and we pledge to flagellate ourselves with a copy of the Lonely Planet.

MOBILE
Remember if you're on the move and your mobile has a small screen you can view the Event Guide at www.proc.mobi (on most phones you don't even have to type the www.)

FREE
The Event Guide will continue to be run as a FREE service but we are grateful to the venues and promoters who have sponsored PROC over the last few years.

SHORT CUT
You can type proc.cc/e in your address bar to go directly to the EVent GUide. This is useful when using a public computer that doesn't cache the full longer address.

EVENING ECHO
Most events are picked up by the Echo for publication in Thursday's Downtown supplement. There is also a daily slot on page 30 of the newspaper that uses content from our Event Guide.
