Thanks to Willy Womble for sending us these pics of him legging around the gaf in a PRC t-shirt. If you have brought the message of Corkonian independence to somewhere significant send your photos to editor@peoplesrepublicofcork.com

Where's Willy? He's near the front on the left taking part in the 2004 London half marathon which was held at Silverstone racing track.

Over 9,000 feens and old dolls applied to take part in this new event which was held on in March 2003 at Silverstone. Intended as both the official warm-up event for the Flora London Marathon, and a consolation event for those unable to take part in April, the race concentrates exclusively upon the true athletic nature of distance running.

Moreover, as the first event associated with the London Marathon to be held outside the capital, in Silverstone the runners have a flat course steeped in Motor Racing history. Set between Northampton and Oxford, the site was originally created by the Royal Air Force in the Second World War, who used it as an airfield base for bomber-training. The site of the first ever Formula One race, it is still one of the main events of the calendar and can boast champions such as Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Britain's own Damon Hill...and now Willy Womble. Doubtcha kid.
