†† Friday nights at the 'Cross are taking on a familiar look - City win and score at least three goals. Last weekend it was the turn of Bray Wanderers to suffer at the hands of the Leesiders, who collected another three league points.

Another impressive crowd of 4,000 turned up which wasn't considering there was some English game on the telly. It took John O'Flynn just 13 minutes to add his impressive goal haul for the season. The 19-year-old Cobh lad latched onto a loose ball in the visitors box and made no mistake to take his tally to ten goals in eight games. Just after the half-hour mark Greg O'Halloran made it 2-0 with his third headed goal in three games and City were cruising.

In the second half George O'Callaghan scored the goal of the game, lashing the ball past Matt Gregg in the Bray goal from 20 yards. Both he and O'Flynn revealed messages of 'That one's for you Naps' underneath their jerseys after scoring in tribute to captain Stephen Napier, who is ruled out for up to eight months with a snapped Achilles tendon. Now it's off to Dalymount on Friday night to take on league leaders Bohemians, where victory will see City go top. {pics at ccfcpics.net}
